Denis lives in Toronto with his spouse Marian and their daughter Georgia. Denis joined the firm in 1991 as a student and was called to the Bar in 1993. Denis has been a partner with CaleyWray since 1997.

Denis' practice includes the representation of trade unions and employees in all areas of labour relations, including representation at grievance arbitrations, labour board matters, wrongful dismissal, human rights complaints before both the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and tribunals appointed under the Canadian Human Rights Act, judicial inquests and all levels of court in the Province of Ontario and federally.

Denis' recent noteworthy cases include GHPA and CHC Global Operations (2008) Inc. [2009] before the Canada Industrial Relations Board and Audet v. CN Railways [2007] before the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal.

Activities

Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association. Denis has also been a member of the Executive of the Labour and Employment Section of the OBA and currently is the Alternate Chair for the Section. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers. Denis also annually volunteers as coach for his daughter's soccer team and is an avid supporter of various charities.

Denis is a regular speaker at various labour relations' seminars and workshops with several papers produced including on the Duty of Fair Representation.
