A recovering academic, Ethan is a compassionate advocate with an interest in complex and nuanced litigation. He received his law degree from the University of Toronto, where he was heavily involved in both of its student legal clinics.

Ethan worked in the housing division of Downtown Legal Services during his first summer at law school. In recognition of his service, Ethan was awarded a Summer Fellowship by the Law Foundation of Ontario. He returned to the housing division to act as a full-time division leader in his second year, where he represented low-income tenants before the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board.

During his second summer of law school, Ethan represented workers before the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board as a caseworker with Advocates for Injured Workers. This experience cemented Ethan’s commitment to workers’ rights, which he is now happy to continue supporting as an Articling Student with CaleyWray.

Outside of work, Ethan enjoys reading, being terrible at video games, and spending time with his partner and their two dogs, Paco and Zucchini. He also enjoys visiting his hometown of St. John’s, Newfoundland - though he does not miss the weather.
